By 2009, Justin Hawkins had split from The Darkness and formed Hot Leg. I co-wrote several of his songs, including Gay in the 80s, Cocktails, I've Met Jesus and Into My Arms. Hearing a huge crowd singing along to one of your songs is a rush.
Meanwhile, I formed my own band, The International Christian Playboys...
...as well as pull together a bunch of renegade vigilantes from the City of Light to launch a protest album.
This started out as a project to involve the young people in our church and turned into a musical extravaganza. I had two hours after a kids' party to film the video and did most of the lighting with a Maglite.
